Patti Ochoa

Special Assistant to the Secretary

Patti Ochoa was appointed Special Assistant to the Agency Secretary at the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSH) by Governor Gavin Newsom in July 2025.

Prior to her appointment, she served as Executive Manager for the Office of the Secretary beginning in 2016. Patti has held a variety of roles within the Agency since its establishment in 2013.

Before joining BCSH, Patti worked in several capacities for the Chairman and Executive Officers at the California Air Resources Board, supporting executive leadership and agency operations.

Prior to joining the State, Patti worked for the Elk Grove Unified School District in the Special Education Program supporting students from kindergarten through high school. Patti earned a degree in Business Administration and remains actively involved in nonprofit work, supporting organizations that assist individuals with special needs as well as those facing cancer diagnoses.
